VITEC Announces Acquisition of ATEME Defense and Security Business

Paris, France, July 1st, 2011 – VITEC Multimedia, a worldwide leader in advanced video solutions, today announced that it has completed the acquisition of all digital defense and security technologies and products from ATEME. ATEME's Security products include advanced IP-based video security and surveillance encoders, decoders and recording solutions that meet the increasingly complex security requirements of private and public facilities. Designed to enhance video security and monitoring infrastructure, robust IP-based ATEME Security products keep operations and maintenance costs low.

With this acquisition, VITEC Multimedia is expanding its focus to include video security solutions for a wide range of facilities and security requirements. ATEME defense and security solutions will be integrated, as necessary, with surveillance capabilities. VITEC will also apply its extensive R&D resources to its new Security product line in order to develop and launch exciting new products based on ATEME products, for both current and future customers.
